How is this study funded?

Maya has funded this research entirely through a combination of guaranteed funding from the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability (combination of teaching and merit-based awards), scholarships from Ontario Graduate Scholarship and QEII-GSST (3 terms each), UW President's Graduate scholarships, and contract/part-time employment as a Teaching Assistant and Ecology Lab course support in the Faculty of Environment. No funding or in-kind support has been offered or received outside of the University of Waterloo.

Is participation in the study voluntary?

Your participation in this study is voluntary. You may decline to answer any question(s) by selecting “prefer not to answer”, or by skipping to the next question. You may stop participating at any time by not submitting your responses and closing your web browser.

Do I need to belong to any particular organization in order to participate in the survey?

No, you do not! This survey is for all hunters in Canada.

Will I receive anything for participating in the study?

You will not receive any remuneration or in-kind benefit in exchange for your participation in the study. Since the survey is anonymous, email addresses will not be collected.

Will I be able to access the survey results?

Yes! Since the survey is anonymous and personal information, including emails, are not being collected, the survey data will be analyzed and posted to the 'Survey Results' page on this website.

Can more than one person per household take the survey?

Yes, as long as each person uses a different device/browser.
